FAQ's

Some of the common questions you may have before you visit Xtreme Karts Warners Bay

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM HEIGHT LIMIT?
Our minimum height limit is a strict 140cm tall. In saying that, our karts can be quite difficult to handle, so at that height, having experience with motorized equipment (e.g. Quad bike, motorbikes) is a very useful skill to have when attempting Xtreme Karts for the first time.

WHAT IS MINIMUM AGE?

Our minimum age for Arrive & Drive sessions is10 years old. Our Mimimum age for Grand Prix Events is 12 years old. They will also must be over our height limit of 140cm and also have the necessary strength and skills to drive the karts safely.

DO I NEED TO WEAR SHOES?

Enclosed Shoes MUST BE WORN, No open toe sandals or thongs. Long hair must also be tied up. This is for the driver’s safety.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BRING IN MY CHILD?

Bringing unexperienced drivers on a busy day can sometimes be overwhelming for the driver, as there will always be quite a few drivers on the track at any one time. So bringing them in for the first time on a quieter day (eg. Not school holidays or weekends) can be beneficial for them to learn with less people on the track. We can also potentially help them get better by showing them where to take better lines through specific corners for example. When Booking, talk to our staff about coming in on a quieter day.

DO YOU HAVE DOUBLE KARTS?

Due to the limited space within our venue, we do not offer tandem or double seat karts to bring a younger passenger along for the ride.. The limiting factor for participants is 140cm so they are able to reach the pedals and drive the karts themselves. We don't have kids karts.

DO WE GET THE TRACK TO OURSELVES?

All Arrive and Drive patrons may share the track with other drivers. If you would prefer to have the track to yourselves, we offer Grand Prix packages which require a minimum of 6 drivers, or a minimum Spend to have the track to yourselves. You can always call and talk to one of our staff to try work out a less busy time.

CAN WE HAVE A DRINK OR TWO BEFORE DRIVING OR WHILE WE ARE VISITING?

Zero Tolerance Alcohol Policy. Anyone who is under the influence of Alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to drive the karts.

CAN I BOOK ONLINE?
At the moment we can't book and instantly confirm your booking online. You can submit a booking equiry and we will get back to you to confirm or try work out a time that suits you. All online bookings requests must be completed at least 24 hours in advance of the booking date/time you require. If you are looking to book within 24hrs, you will need to call us on 4954 5353 to book over the phone.

HOW MANY CAN BE ON TRACK AT ONCE?

Maximum number of karts on the track at any one time is 10. If you are looking to book more than 10 drivers, your group will be split up accordingly (eg. 14 drivers = 2 groups of 7 on track). If you are doing a Grand Prix style event, groups are split based on lap times after qualifying.

DO I HAVE TO BOOK?

In most cases, YES. As we are a low capacity business and can fit no more than 10 karts and any race,  it is common for us to book out more than 1 week in advance, especially on Weekends. Plan ahead to make sure you have the date and time you desire.

CAN I BRING MY OWN HELMET?

Can I bring my own helmet… YES, it is encouraged that you bring your own helmet if you have one that meets the Australian Safety Standard (ie can be used on the road). We do clean and sanitise our helmets after each use, however with covid and other flu’s around, using your own helmet is the safest. Must be a full faced helmet. NO OPEN FACED HELMETS.

I'M HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION AND/ OR I'M PREGNANT!

If you have any form of medical condition, injury or pregnancy, we recommend that you DO NOT drive our karts.

RUBBING IS NOT RACING! KARTING IS A NON CONTACT SPORT!

Strictly No contact between karts or walls. Offenders will have their karts speed restricted for the safety of themselves and others around them. Repeated contact will result in the removal from the track. You are in control of your kart. If you decide to push into another kart, you can cause harm to that driver and their kart as well as yourself. You are in control and responsible

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

We do not offer refunds for changing your mind, so please choose your race selection carefully. Failure to complete the allocated sessions will result in forfeiting your remaining race credits. If in doubt, purchase one race instead of two. If you have decided to pre pay for your booking, no refund will be given for drivers failing to arrive.
